Ace Travel Cease Trading

Ace Travel who ran a number of Commercial and Merseytravel Supported Services in Merseyside put their Company into Liquidation on 28th February 2015 Leaving Disruption to Bus Services while Merseytravel found Other Operators to take on Ace Travels work at short Notice.

Speaking to The Echo The Firm admitted they had fallen Behind on payments to HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) over the last 18 Months. The company Stated they had started to bring the Bill down (Understood to be £220,000) In an Agreement with with HMRC, However Ace Travel say the case was past to a TAX Office who demanded a full Payment of all Money still owed to HMRC, Ace raised £114,000 Towards the Bill and Submitted a new Agreement to HMRC however Sadly the deal was not Accepted and issued a Winding-Up Order.

Merseytravel Acted quickly to find replacement orders for Many for Ace Travel's Services on Emergency Contracts while they seek Long Term replacements for the Services.
